French speaking world awards for young researchers

The University Agency for French-speaking world (AUF) has launched the "French-speaking world awards" call for tenders. It is open until october the 31th.French speaking world awards for young researchers aim at rewarding the merit and value of researchers who have obtained scientific recognition and/or have performed a decisive and international breakthrough, especially within the French-speaking world.
These awards are intended for PhDs in science and medicine on the one hand and in social sciences and humanities on the other hand. Candidates must be below 45 and must have a 4 to 10 years experience after obtaining their PhD. They must be linked with one of AUF member institutions.
As prize money, €9,000 will be given to each award winner. To apply, check out the University Agency for French-speaking world website.
Deadline for application: October 31th, 2008.
