Equidéfi: a prize for innovation in the horse sector

The Haras Nationaux, Normandie Incubation and the Horse Sector Competitive Cluster have launched the Equidéfi challenge, which will reward the best two innovative projects in the horse sector. The projects should be economically viable with a real development potential and a clear desire to get involved in the Basse-Normandie region (physically or in partnership with a company in the region).

The winner of the "company R&D project” will receive a check for 20,000 euros and will enjoy the support offered to R&D projects bearing the “Competitive cluster” label. The winner of the “innovation company creation” prize will receive a check for 5,000 euros and personalized advice and support for a two-year period.

Applications should be filed by January 31, 2009 on the contest website. An oral presentation of the projects will then be scheduled in February. The prizes will be awarded at the International Agricultural Fair in Paris.
