The team is young, dynamic, and international. It benefits from an ERC Starting Grant funding and the ATIP-Avenir label. It is part of a dynamic scientific environment with renowned researchers in the fields of hematology and leukemogenesis (https://gencelldis.fr/l-benajiba-team/). The Paris Saint-Louis Leukemia Institute is a Hospital-University Institute with an internationally renowned leukemia research program. Its main goal is to develop new approaches to cure leukemias and associated diseases. Our research institute is located in the center of Paris, on the Saint-Louis campus, and benefits from a close relationship with Saint-Louis Hospital. Most of the studies conducted by our team have translational research implications, in close collaboration with the clinical teams at Saint-Louis Hospital. The team works in partnership with the Clinical Investigation Center of Saint-Louis Hospital (INSERM-CIC 1427) to accelerate the clinical translation of laboratory discoveries. The team maintains numerous national and international collaborations. It has privileged access to patient cohorts and primary samples, as well as to a wide range of institutional technological platforms, including a fully equipped animal facility, a flow cytometry platform, a sequencing platform, and an imaging platform.
