Are you passionate about research? So are we! Come and join us
How will you contribute?
We are offering a 6-month research traineeship focused on two projects addressing environmental and agro-ecological challenges.
The first project, DESPOT, investigates the prevalence and transmission dynamics of honeybee viruses among wild pollinators in Luxembourg’s nature protection zones, generating novel insights into pollinator health and supporting sustainable conservation strategies.
The second project, VectoRise, explores how regional differences and climate change influence the interactions between apple psyllid insect vectors and the phytoplasma pathogen responsible for apple proliferation disease.
As a trainee, you will assist in:
- field sampling,
- laboratory analyses (e.g., molecular detection methods),
- data processing,
- synthesis of research outcomes.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in agro-environmental biology, disease ecology, and climate-impacted plant health research within an interdisciplinary, internationally connected team.
