French-Italian call for projects Vinci 2024
The French-Italian University (UFI) has launched the new Vinci Call for Proposals 2024. It is intended to support Franco-Italian university cooperation through mobility funding for master degree's students, PhD candidates, post-doctoral fellows and professors between France and Italy. Application deadline is February 9, 2024, 12:00 pm (noon).
The French-Italian University is an institution that fosters academic and scientific cooperation between France and Italy in the field of education and research. The Vinci call for projects aims to promote the integration of the French and Italian higher education systems and to contributeto the process of harmonization of university systems in Europe.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The Vinci Call for Proposals 2024 is composed of 4 chapters:
- Chapter 1 is dedicated to supporting Master's level university programs delivering a double or joint degree. Funding of up to €30,000 for professors in charge of Franco-Italian Masters’ degrees.
- Chapter 2 supports mobility in the context of PhD joint supervision (cotutelle). Funding between €4,000 and €6,000 for PhD candidates enrolled during 2023-2024 in the first or second year of their doctorate in a Franco-Italian “cotutelle”.
- Chapter 3 provides for the award of 3 doctoral contracts for joint doctoral theses, addressed to doctoral schools carrying out a Franco-Italian joint thesis project, for students who will be enrolled in the first year of their doctorate at the beginning of the 2024 - 2025 academic year.
- Chapter 4 proposes funding to support postdoctoral experience. Funding of €25,000 for researchers with a doctorate in Franco-Italian “cotutelle”, who defended their thesis between 7 December 2021 and 30 June 2024.
The objective of the Vinci Programme is to promote the mobility of students, PhD candidates and professors, the exchange of methodologies, didactic experiences, the enhancement of linguistic skills, as well as the establishment of a network of scientific excellence and training between the two countries.
Applicants must underline the originality and quality of the partnership between universities. The following characteristics will also be included as qualification elements:
- Consideration of contemporary societal issues (issues of diversity, intercultural and sustainability, etc.);
- Cooperation with the countries of the Mediterranean seaboard;
- Partnerships with the economic world favouring the employability and professional integration of researchers;
- European funding perspectives.
