Clarisse Faria-Fortecoëf
Seven scholarships of excellence totalling $248,000 to foster research partnerships between universities in Quebec and high-tech companies located in the Campus Saint-Laurent of Technoparc Montréal.Under the BMP Innovation Scholarship Program, Technoparc Montréal has signed on 10 December 2008 a three year agreement with the Fonds québécois de la recherche sur la nature et les technologies (FQRNT) and the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC).
It will allow companies to welcome Master’s and PhD student researchers from Quebec universities to work on corporate R&D projects in conjunction with the students’ thesis requirements.
For example, the annual value of a PhD scholarship is $18,000, to which is added a minimum corporate contribution of $9,000.
