The GRAMFC Inserm U1105 is a multimodal functional neuroimaging laboratory whose activity is focused on the development of tools for analyzing early neurodevelopment in children, notably in premature babies and fetuses in physiological and pathological situation. The platform comprises a fMEG OPM Helium setup with patented support dedicated to pregnant women and premature neonates together with a magnetic shield room. This is associated with MEG compatible high-density EEG (Compumedics) and high-density fiber optic near infrared spectroscopy (ISS) devices. The MEG is located within the department of pediatric clinical neurophysiology in the University Hospital with a very easy access to pediatric patients (next door to the NICU)

Poste et missions
The candidate must hold a PhD in signal processing, applied mathematics, computer science, or related fields with at least 3 years of experience with neural data. Programming experience with scripting languages such as Matlab or Python are required. Experience with cryogenic or OPM magnetoencephalography (MEG) will be considered as a strong advantage. This is a 12-month position (with the opportunity to extend) and will be primarily supervised by Pr. Fabrice Wallois but will also involve mentorship and collaboration from Pr Sahar Moghimi and Dr. Alban Galard.

Profil
The successful candidate will join the multidisciplinary research groups composed of specialists in signal treatments, engineers, neuroscientifics, clinical neurophysiologists, neuropediatricians,. The researcher will play a key role in managing day-to-day project needs related to recruitment, data collection, data analysis, and dissemination of results.
A fully funded postdoctoral research position is available at Inserm UMR 1105 (Reserach Group on the Multimodal Analysis of Brain Function, GRAMFC, University of Picardie Jules Verne, France) in the framework of the DFG-ANR funded project fMEG-OPM. The candidate will develop EEG-MEG/OPM data analysis techniques in pregnant women (fetal MEG), premature and full term neonates and healthy and epileptic children (pediatric EEG/MEG-OPM) to evaluate and characterize the spontaneous activity and auditory neural responses in the course of development. This position offers a unique opportunity to develop an expertise in combined EEG/MEG-OPM in the context of normal and pathological neurodevelopment.
