Description du sujet

The aim of this project is to explore the contribution of pricing-based incentive action to the design of sustainable transportation plans in urban areas. The first part of the project will focus on an e-commerce application with requests to be delivered to customers located in a city area. Some of the requests can be known in advance, while others may arise in real time.  The aim is to build a delivery tariff offer that depend on  the delivery time slot, so that future plans can be viable both economically and environmentally. The idea behind this is to avoid periods when road traffic is likely to be dense and/or transport capacity limited. The second part of the project will focus on horizontal collaboration between carriers for last-mile delivery. The aim is to build alliance strategies that will encourage each player to collaborate and pool their resources.  The goal of this project is to propose mathematical formulations for the problems identified before, and to develop theoretical properties that can be integrated into efficient optimization approaches. The structure required to develop this project in line with the identified scientific objectives is as follows:
1. Analysis of existing literature on the subject.
2. State of the art on optimization methods (exact and meta-heuristics), pricing techniques and cooperative games.
3. Modeling of the two typical problems identified in this study.
4. Design of new solution approaches incorporating pricing mechanisms and cooperative game solving.
5. Performance evaluation and validation of the approaches developed.                                                      Bibliography                                                                                                                                                           [1] André Snoecka, Daniel Merchàna, Matthias Winkenbacha.
