Employeur

INSA ROUEN Normandie is a public engineering school involved in the fundamental research in the Normandie region. The research laboratories from INSA ROUEN Normandie are working on cutting edge research program in Chemistry, process, mathematics, computer science…

The institute CARMeN Rouen (ex-COBRA, UMR 6064, www.lab-cobra.fr/equipes/heterocycles/) is gathering researchers from CNRS, Rouen University of Normandy and INSA ROUEN Normandy and is originated from the merging with the laboratory LCMT at the university of Caen Normandy and ENSICAEN. The institute CARMeN Rouen is located within the IRCOF building (Institut de recherche en chimie organique fine) at Mont Saint Aignan. 175 peoples are working within the COBRA laboratory (60 PIs, 20 technical and administrative supports, 70 PhD students, 25 PDRA). COBRA laboratory is a leading partner of the LABEX SynOrg, the institute Carnot I2C and the EUR XL Chem, a proof of the excellence of the laboratory.

Poste et missions

This project is part of the ANR PRCI CASINOS at the Institute CARMeN (Heterocycles team, e-CatCH group, PI Dr. Jean-françois Brière), within an international consortium involving the university of Mulhouse (Dr. Nicolas Blanchard – PI of ANR) and the university of Texas at San Antonio in USA (Professors Oleg Larionov et Michael P. Doyle). The objective is to develop new syntheses of chiral and original heterocycles in order to explore the 3-Dimentional chemical space. A focus will be given to the use of organo-catalysis and/or asymmetric synthesis. The international partnership will offer opportunity in High-Throughput Screening assisted by robot, and predictive strategy by theoretical calculations.
