The Laboratory of Clinical Cell Therapy of “Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB)” (University of Brussels, Belgium) is seeking an outstanding postdoctoral researcher to participate in the Unprofiled Chair Competition, a prestigious and highly competitive process aimed at recruiting top-tier scientists for permanent academic positions.

 

This call is a PRE-SELECTION in order to identify candidate that could apply after preparation of the application dossier with the host laboratory.

 

Poste et missions

The selection process unfolds in three stages between December and June, with the position commencing on October 1st. The appointment includes a three-year probationary period, after which, upon successful evaluation, the candidate will be granted a permanent faculty position at ULB. This task as academic member will be to develop his/her research within the host laboratory. In the first year, he/she will have to take some teaching task in accordance with her.his comlpetence and expertise.

Profil

Each year, ULB opens two permanent faculty positions through this competition. Successful candidates will demonstrate:

  • A PhD degree
  • Proven independence in research
  • A strong publication record in high-impact journals
  • At least four years of scientific experience
  • At least one long-term international research stay

 

 

 

We are particularly interested in candidates whose research focuses on hematology, with a preference for chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). The selected candidate will join the research laboratory of Prof. Basile Stamatopoulos at the Jules Bordet Institute, a leading center for cancer research and treatment.

Objectifs

In addition to developing an independent research program, the successful candidate will be expected to take on teaching responsibilities in French at ULB in the coming years.
