How will you contribute?
This position provides a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of transformative advancements in structural composite manufacturing technology.
Your activities will include:
- Contribute to the down selection of the resin and fibre of interest by preliminary assessed the impregnability and drapability by AFP of the potential material of interest
- Optimize the manufacturing of the UD tape, targeting a minimum initial void content and controlling the pre-cure state
- Development and validate the AFP process using the produced tape
- Investigate and validate an innovative assembly approach of the two sub-structures
- Co-curing process modelling, enabling the prediction of the degree of cure at each process steps.
- Validation at the TRL4 demonstrator scale
Profil

- Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Specialization in filament winding, composite processing, composite material characterisation
- Experience with Liquid Composite Molding, particularly for aeronautics application is a plus.
- Experience on work package management is a plus.
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including the industrial partners.
- Excellent job autonomy in the management of technical, time management and organizational issues.
- Outstanding internal and external reporting qualities
- Fluent in English, both written and oral.
